Progress Update 8/13/2022
The development team has gone through some organization efforts this week, with the goal of creating a more comprehensive experience for new and old volunteers alike. We will now be holding monthly team meetings to catch up and communicate with the team and their projects, as well as updating documentation and guidelines on the development process. These efforts will streamline the developer experience with Thrive, and make for a more coordinated team.

This week we've been focused on discussing the future of the microbe stage going forward, what changes need to be made to finish it up, and how to resolve some of the gaping holes in our designs for later stages. That's not to say we haven't gotten any tangible work done of course!
The autoevo exploration tool is now implemented in our latest devbuild for use and perusal. This revolutionary tool will allow you to put the magnifying glass up to autoevo and see exactly what it's been …

This week has seen more small updates and bugfixes, along with discussion of some more serious changes to the player experience. With a growing consensus that Microbe Stage is in the later stages of development, these features will need to fight for a place on our feature backlog.

Progress Update 7/02/2022
This week we have focused most of our efforts into wrapping up the big features of 0.5.9, which we hope to have done before the feature freeze likely coming next week. All that remains is the engulfment rework and the procedural patchmap, which are very close to completion.
Should we not be able to get the procedural patch-map done in time for release, we might have to delay the release by one more week or two in order to finish it. Else, we would have to break save compatibility in…
