The quiet weeks stretch on as many devs continue to be occupied by their education, but progress continues nonetheless. This week we've made progress on the Thriveopedia, some optimization of Thrive's background functions, and the multiplayer experiment. Our lead developer has begun focusing on a new and improved launcher, migrated from javascript to C#. Another of our developers has created a rudimentary prototype of multiplayer as a side project, and one of our graphics artists continues to design revamped symbology for our newest microbe part.

It was an exciting week after the release of 0.5.10, and we have been very happy to see how much everyone has enjoyed the new mucilage jet and compound generation in action. Only one week remains before the release of 0.5.10, and so we are now entering a period of feature freeze where no additional features will be developed for the update. Efforts are instead directed to solving any issues that may be discovered through player testing.

This week we've put some extra focus on implementing some of the larger features of 0.5.10, such as the mucilage jet and day/night cycle. Discussions continue on how we plan to handle the upgrades system going forward, and how they might affect the progression of the microbe stage.
