With the final week before 0.8.0 public release test build being released, we managed to complete the last new feature in the 0.7.x roadmap meaning we are on schedule to release 0.8.0 version and start the next development milestone. Finished work for Thrive this week has been a bit less visual than last week with disk caching being the major feature taking the most time. This feature should especially help players with slower computers, who may have had to wait many minutes for species images in the editor to load, as instead of re-generating the images they can now be loaded from disk (if generated previously and cached).
