Progress Update 04/05/2025
This week we focused more on fixing what we have already rather than going full speed ahead on new features. We added a new stage loading screen which should help with graphics loading related stutters during gameplay. Now the game will take an extra second to load all needed graphics and shaders before going to the microbe stage. Besides that, most changes this week were further small improvements to the tutorials or fixing small GUI size problems or typos.
In other, Thrive-related news, we have redone our main website (where you are reading this update)! This has been a really long-time in the making with the previous software not really being updatable without fixing a bunch of stuff so we instead swapped technologies entirely. There are still various parts of the new site that needs improving and some fixes, but hopefully everyone is able to read this new update post. Also sorry for breaking the news feed in-game, at the latest that will be fixed in the next release but we might do something earlier than that.
