Progress Update 04/13/2024

Progress continues in the endeavor to switch to Godot 4, with a healthy amount of bugs having been squashed since last week. Unfortunately there are still roughly 20 issues deemed high priority, but hopes are that they will be handled sometime between now and next week in time for the release candidate.

Programming

  • New DevBuild for our patrons:
    • New engulf animation that creates wave lines instead of the old just flashing blue animation
    • Fixed credits display
    • Fixed new game settings
    • Mostly fixed all prototypes to allow playing through them, there are still some slight graphical and minor issues left
    • Fixed our colour picker customization for Godot 4
    • Fixed no cell type selected text not being centered
    • Fixed spinner icons having wrong pivot
    • Fixed tutorials (except engulfment full)
    • Fixed chemoreceptor and other upgrade GUIs
    • Fixed mouse scroll and click events unintentionally going through the GUI in many places (for example caused organelle place attempts in the editor)
    • Fixed art gallery not working
    • Fixed exiting the benchmark resetting window maximized status
    • Improved string name allocations for IsActionPressed
    • Fixed clean up script for Godot 4
    • Fixed file drop listener
    • Fixed alignment of no saves found text
    • Steam: fixed steam library loading
    • Updated translations
