Good progress continues this week, with the largest addition being a revamped graphical auto-evo report that will make understanding exactly what is going on in your world easier.
Various graphical improvements, such as new chunks and improved convolution surfaces, and work on part customization and more rewarding engulfment increases gameplay variety. And, as always, bug-squashing.
Programming
- New DevBuild for our patrons:
- Created a new much more graphical auto-evo report screen
- Improved the Thriveopedia with various new pages
- Converted the old help menu to open a relevant Thriveopedia page with links to important pages
- Buffed engulfing resource gain
- Added multiple new ice chunk types for more variety
- Added mesh subdivision for the convolution surfaces to make them look better
- Added one new microbe loading screen image
- Fixed membrane dissolve effect for 3D membranes
- Fixed clicking on a miche node that is empty not clearing the info box which was pretty confusing GUI behaviour
- Fixed image sizes in concept art gallery cards
- Improved our setup instructions for compiling on Linux
- Improved our wiki content updating script
- Updated YamlDotNet from 16.1.0 to 16.1.2
- Updated translations
- Work on flagellum length customization, though polish and work needed before ready for implementation
Graphics
- Auto-evo reports are now much more graphical, allowing players to more easily understand what every species looks like and general information about it:

- Conversation about sessile organisms in the future macroscopic stages
- A brief and abstract conversation about the societal stages
