The refactor saga continues, now with a mostly functional microbe stage running with the newly rewritten physics processes. It's still very much rough around the edges, but good progress has been made, and we are confident that the refactor will be done before the end of the year.

In other news, we will now have the option to play the early multicellular stage in freebuild mode. You'll finally be building the biggest baddest clump of cells in the pond, while vibing to the new biome-specific ambient tracks!

Programming

  • New DevBuild for our patrons:
    • Added new underwater vents and ice shelf specific ambient tracks that are only played in those patches with our new context specific music system

    • Added freebuild mode for early multicellular

    • Becoming multicellular is now shown on the editor timeline tab

    • Fixed bug in previous build where a calcium carbonate statistics label had the wrong text on it

    • Updated YamlDotNet from 13.7.0 to 13.7.1

    • Updated translations
