Progress Update 6/04/2022

This week we've had a little slow-down as many of our developers find themselves wrapped up in the affairs of life and education. Despite that we still make steady progress, and a few fun things to show off.
Programming
- New DevBuild for our patrons:
- Fixed toxins not firing in the cell facing direction, instead they fired in the direction the cell wanted to point at
- Pressing space in the microbe stage now pauses or resumes the game
- Updated translations
- Hhyyrylainen is testing the limits of how many 3D objects can be rendered at once before performance is significantly impacted.
The limit seems to have been determined to be around 40,000 spheres on higher end hardware.
Graphics
- Started discussion of graphically representing the 3D environment.
- Kasterisk has made progress on the in-game gallery, with this WIP menu.
- Magart has created a mineral texture for future use in models or terrain.
- Concept for a musical note icon by Roseae.
Gameplay
- Began discussing sensory mechanics and how to handle them in the future.
- Revived discussion of the 3D editor.
