Progress Update 6/5/2021

This week we have made a few miscellaneous fixes to Thrive as we work our way to the completion of 0.5.4. Which we are aiming to release sometime around the 19th of June.

We are also looking into donation options for those so inclined. More information and a poll can be found here. Tell us what you think!

Programming

  • New Build of the Day:
    • Changed editor fade to happen after the auto-evo loading screen.
    • Changed to an MIT licensed noise library, this caused the clouds to move slightly differently than before.
    • Updated translations.
    • New microbe AI.
    • Fixed flickering of compound clouds and slightly tweaked their appearances.
    • The cell is now hidden in the editor until you go to the editor tab.
    • The game now defaults to fullscreen startup.
    • Enabled new automated code checks, and fixed existing code to not cause warnings, and CI pipeline fixes.
    • Hooked up Sinhala language in the game along with a new fallback font.
