We are working on translations! This week we added a new translation system into the game and we are accepting community translations, so if you want to help us translate the game, you can register here. We released a dev-build for patrons featuring this system, translations can be accessed via the options menu.

More work on binding agents. We are still discussing how to implement them in game and also how to code them, as it turns out, making this new feature is not an easy task so we need a proper plan to make it work.

We made a change to cell walls. Now they don’t allow engulfing, which is to be expected since they are hard rigid structures that cover cells completely. We added this change to a new dev Build so, if you support us on Patreon, you can try it and tell us what you think about this new feature.

Binding agents are being developed. We are figuring out how would they work and their appearance. Once that’s dealt with we can start our journey towards the Multicellular stage!

We are starting to work on a tutorial. Just like in older versions, once again there will be a tutorial for those new to the game. If you are a patron, you can already test it for yourself. Also a lot of new developers joined us this week, mainly composers and programmers.

One of the main issues that came after the godot port was resource spawning, often leaving the player in barren environments. Obviously that needs to be fixed, and that’s what we’ve worked on this week.

Another release, another feature discussion thread. For now, it looks like we are going to improve the spawn system (which hasn’t been worked on since 2014), work on a tutorial, add a proper population algorithm and add binding agents, among other things.

There was more work on the automated devbuild system. Now that the launcher is linked with the devcenter devbuilds will be available for download through the launcher for both patreons and developers.
